Horticultural Glass - Roof
Over the years there has been an enormous development in roof glass for greenhouses - from drawn glass to low iron float glass with anti-reflection coatings. There is now a very wide range of types of float glass with light transmission from 89% to more than 91%. If an anti-reflection coating is used the light transmission can even be as high as 96%.
As well as float glass, diffuse glass (with a light pattern) is used in order to achieve more scattering of light within the glasshouse.
